I wrote the second act of the chamber opera Clavigo, a project made possible by the Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation after a workshop this spring.
The opera premiered at the Budapest Music Center on 7/12, and was performed again at the Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin on 9/12. Impressions from the first performance below!
Featuring:
Marie: Márta Murányi – soprano
Sophie: Anna Molnár – mezzosoprano
Beaumarchais: Sztojanov Georgi – tenor
Clavigo: Zsombor Cserményi – bariton
and the Classicus Quartet: Eszter Kökény – violin, Alíz Gál-Szabó – violin, Péter Tornyai – viola, Tamás Zétényi – violoncello
